Hello! My name is Michal Israel. I am so happy to be joining Vancouver Friend’s for Life Society as a counselling graduate from Rhodes College. I am originally from South Africa, married, and the mother to two grown boys. I have been a pharmacist for more than 25 years but during COVID I decided to seek other methods of healing. It was evident to me that healing with medication is not enough for many people. We all need someone to hear our story and to appreciate us so that we can form good opinions of ourselves and strive for better lives. I am passionate about health and wellbeing and about being outside. I love to walk in the forest, on the beach or in the mountains.
As a counsellor, I will be providing 55min sessions for anyone who wants a safe place to talk and make sense of their lives. I look forward to meeting many new people in my journey with Friends for Life.
