About Michael
Michael graduated with honours from the Oxford College Massage Therapy program in Toronto in 2019 and has seven years of clinical experience as a Registered Massage Therapist. He takes an individualized, assessment-driven approach to treatment, drawing from a broad range of therapeutic techniques and advanced training to address each patient's unique needs and goals.
Michael has experience treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal concerns, including chronic neck and back pain, headaches and migraines, strains and sprains, TMJ dysfunction, mobility restrictions, nerve impingements, and sports-related injuries. His approach may incorporate deep tissue massage, myofascial techniques, trigger-point therapy, joint mobilization, instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques, cupping, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular techniques and other specialized approaches.
Michael believes effective treatment extends beyond the massage table. When appropriate, he provides personalized home-care recommendations and remedial exercises to help clients improve mobility, strength, manage symptoms and support long-term progress.
Prior to pursuing a career in Massage Therapy, Michael completed a Bachelor of Music in Voice at Queen's University. He continues to enjoy singing and teaching music. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking, crocheting and playing cello.
