About Mia

The decision to seek counselling is an important and often life-changing milestone; I’m very glad you’re here. As a counsellor, I am honoured to hear your unique story and to collaborate with you through authentic connection and deep exploration. I seek to provide a safe space for you by cultivating empathy, compassion and curiosity, and strive to help you feel accepted and understood on your wellness journey. I am trauma-informed, culturally-competent, inclusive and anti-oppressive and draw from humanistic and systemic therapeutic modalities. I am especially influenced by Person-Centered and Internal Family Systems therapies that put you in the driver’s seat, allow you to explore the many parts of your psyche, and inspire you to rediscover your true Self. My areas of speciality include personal development, inner child work, and self-esteem related issues like low-confidence, inadequacy and unworthiness. I am deeply passionate about working together toward your personal empowerment and Self-leadership. You are never alone.
