About Melissa

Melissa completed her Bachelors of Exercise and Sport Science in 2005 and upon completion, certified as an Athletic Therapist. In that year, she also pursued her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She started her career working in BC as an athletic therapist for a Junior A hockey team and seeing clients in a physiotherapy clinic. In 2010, she moved back to Manitoba and started working at Focus Fitness as a Strength Coach and Athletic Therapist. Here she had the opportunity to work with Olympic level and professional athletes. In 2016 she completed her Masters of Physical Therapy and certified as a Physiotherapist. She worked at Pan Am Clinic before making the move to Benefit and the Selkirk Hospital. Helping others achieve their movement goals and recover from injury is her passion and she is grateful to be doing that on a daily basis. When not at work Melissa enjoys spending time with her two boys.
