Her passion lies in supporting individuals and families using the principles of humanistic psychology and attachment theory to guide her work. As a person-centred counsellor, she helps individuals uncover their inner strengths and develop the tools needed to navigate life with confidence and clarity. Melanie provides counseling services for children, youth, adults and couples dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, and trauma. She uses various therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural therapy (DBT), The Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative therapy. Melanie is also trained in Play therapy and as an EMDR Child Specialist. Her counselling services are available in-person and online
