It is said that the role of the Sangoma is to be a translator for God, in the form of a goat. Our job is to listen, and bare witness to the body, to transmit the messages from the Ancestors and guides, to gently coax the being and the spirit into the body and offer support along this journey called life.
I am not a Sangoma. I am a wounded healer. And I am here, imperfect, flawed, broken and rebuilt again and again and again. I am here to walk with you. Hold you. To listen. To transmit. To allow my body to hold space as best is possible. To not self abandon. To be here, in presence with you.
What does this look like? What does this mean? We begin with intention, with allowing, with listening. And move forward with the body, seeing where it wants to go.
In service and in love,
Megan
