My name is Meagan and I am a psychotherapist in good standing with the CRPO. I am dedicated towards supporting individuals on their journey to mental wellness.
My academic background includes a Master of Counselling Psychotherapy from Yorkville University, a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health Counselling from Durham College, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from Queen’s University.
My professional experience encompasses working in group homes with individuals on the autism spectrum, and supporting youth in shelters. As well as assisting individuals in transitional housing, and engaging in harm reduction outreach as part of a crisis intervention team designed to police presence at mental health calls.
I have experience in many areas of mental health and wellness, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, work/life balance, stress, difficulties with emotion regulation, relationship challenges, substance use and addictions. My own journey of mental health and wellness, provides me with a unique ability to empathize deeply with others. I approach each journey with empathy, compassion and the ability to tap into the strengths and resilience of everyone I work with.
I offer a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and solution-focused therapy. My goal is to help you develop the skills and tools you need to manage stress, improve communication, and build healthier relationships. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and I am here to support you every step of the way.
