About Maureen
Maureen is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Arizona State University. Maureen has over 15 years of experience working with various age groups and cultural demographics addressing violence, sexual assault, healthy relationships, immigration & newcomers, infertility, relationship and mental health concerns.
Maureen sees clients of all ages for individual and family counselling, working from a strengths-based approach, and is experienced in several therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Known for her empathy, warmth and smile set people from every walk of life at ease as she works with clients in a validating and affirming manner that supports them in finding their own version of success. Outside of work, she loves listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
