About Matthew

Matt is a Registered Massage Therapist and Manual Osteopathic Therapist with a passion for human anatomy. With a background in the trades for most of his early twenties, he is no stranger to the aches and pains of manual labour. He utilizes this passion in his career to help figure out root causes of problems and uses a whole body approach in injury and pain management. Matt knew he was missing something in his practice so he returned to school to attain his designation as a Manual Osteopathic Therapist. With Manual Osteopathic therapy Matt was able to utilize techniques that he didn't have prior and gained a renewed perspective on the body. Now he is able to treat more effectively and efficiently with gentle handed techniques. Matt spent the beginning of his career working with patients that were in motor vehicle accidents or post surgical patients. Matt has plenty of tools in his tool kit such as, IASTM, Cupping, Osteoarticulations, Myofascial work, Lymphatic techniques, Visceral/Organ manipulation, Joint manipulation, Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM), Clinical Massage, and more. Outside of work Matt enjoys staying active with softball - placing first with his team in 2022, Matt is returning this year to co-captain with the softball league. Other activites include, lawn bowling and the gym. You can follow him on Instagram @garnetwellness where he creates content surrounding the field of massage and manual osteopathic therapy

Matthew Somers was very informative and answered all my questions. I like his approach to focus and help with flexibility, sleep and emptying out my bladder without delay. He worked on organs and was happy to share his knowledge and training in his specific specialties. Appreciated his holistic view on energy, body alignment and mental health.
