About Maryam
Maryam Moazzami is a clinician providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and adults under the supervision of Adam Ghemraoui, MA, Psychologist. She specializes in trauma-informed care, particularly with first responders and individuals experiencing PTSD, and integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), to support recovery from trauma and related concerns.
In addition to trauma work, Maryam supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and life transitions. She takes a collaborative, client-centred, and integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and emotion-focused techniques to help clients overcome challenges and foster meaningful change. Her work also includes conducting mental health and psychoeducational assessments and supporting parents in addressing their children's emotional and behavioural concerns.
Maryam holds a Master of Psychology in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto and a Master of Public Health. She is currently accumulating supervised hours toward registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
Separately, Maryam also provides couples therapy as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), to partners navigating communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, intimacy concerns, and the transition to parenthood, including infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and postpartum adjustment. Her couple's work is informed by Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Esther Perel’s principles. With both professional training and personal experience as a mother of two, she strives to create a compassionate and supportive space where couples can strengthen their connection and work toward lasting growth.
