About Maryam
Maryam completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from McMaster University in 2017 and completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Western University in 2020. Maryam grew up playing a number of sports, including soccer and volleyball, and had her fair share of injuries herself. As a result, she understands the importance of rehab and injury prevention in athletes and active individuals.
Maryam aims to provide the best care for all of her patients, taking a holistic approach in her treatments. She believes in providing patient-centered care that includes patient education, manual therapy and exercise prescription to get her patients back to doing the things they love, whether that is on the field or getting back to lifting.
Maryam has taken a number of post graduate courses, including neurofunctional acupuncture/dry needling, concussion and vestibular rehab, introduction to pelvic floor, as well as manual therapy courses.
On her spare time, Maryam enjoys lifting weights, traveling and trying out foodie spots in the GTA (any and all recommendations are encouraged!).
