About Mary

Mary Lee provides a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental space where clients can explore, find and be their authentic selves. Mary Lee draws on her ability to incorporate each client's unique experiences, strengths, values and beliefs into a therapeutic approach that represents healing to the individual client. Her Eclectic approach, allows her to borrow a wider variety of tools from CBT, Humanistic, Solution-focused, ACT, and Strength-based therapy and go where her clients need her to go. She is enthusiastic about working with her clients to help them find healthier coping strategies, and self-care practices which lower stress levels, improve mental health and bring a more harmonious balance back into life. Mary Lee immigrated from Northern Ireland as a child and spent a lot of time moving around due to her father's work, which provided her with a rich life of cultural experiences. She is genuinely grateful as it has been a foundational part of who she is today. A person who is accepting of all religions, cultures and lifestyles. Mary Lee completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (with Distinction) in 2023. She also completed a Psychology degree and Minored in Anthropology and Culture at the University of Guelph (Honors Program) in 2020. She also took a wide array of courses in World Religions, Behavioral Neuroscience and Art, while attending Kings College/UWO between 2013 - 2016. Mary Lee has personal life experience navigating chronic pain, blended families, disabilities and disorders. Mary Lee is passionate about helping those struggling with social isolation or avoidance, due to pain, disability, self-esteem issues, depression, ADHD, anxiety, procrastination, burnout, gender identity struggles, life transitions and suicidal ideation. She aims to help clients to develop a stronger sense of self, and purpose. Mary Lee brings empathy, compassion and support to her work and feels privileged to walk beside people on their journeys.
