About Mary-Katherine
Mary-Katherine is a compassionate, gentle, and skilled therapist with a specialization in prenatal/postpartum mood and adjustment issues, infertility, and perinatal loss. Mary-Katherine worked at Mount Sinai Hospital for 19 years in the Women’s and Infants Health Program where she had the honour of working with women who struggle with anxiety, depression, changing self-identities, and body image during pregnancy and postpartum. She has also worked closely with individuals and couples who are navigating the often unpredictable and emotionally exhausting journey of infertility.
In Mary-Katherine’s 24-year career in Social Work, she has acquired extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing relationship distress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, interpersonal trauma, personality disorders, divorce, and grief/loss.
Mary-Katherine’s passion in providing therapy is to help individuals and couples discover their inner strengths, experience self-compassion, and enjoy feelings of connection. She is committed to providing clients with a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space to explore distressing issues, while also holding space to explore underlying feelings that may be difficult to express. She works with each client at their own pace and suggests approaches that best resonate with their specific needs. Mary-Katherine also enjoys working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations. Mary-Katherine has been trained in EFT for couples as she believes this modality is grounded in the belief that emotions are key to building safe and secure connections.
