About Marlee
Hi! I’m Marlee, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University (Stfx) and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am currently licensed to serve clients in Nova Scotia and Ontario.

I work with individuals who are seeking to discover a renewed sense of identity, undo negative patterns, or simply create new possibilities toward becoming the healthiest and most present version of themselves.
I provide individual therapy for youth and adults aged 12 and up, as well as family and parenting support for children ages 3–12. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and shaped by the belief that therapy should be client-centered and tailored to every unique scenario.
I use an integrative approach, drawing from trauma-informed and attachment-based practices to meet clients where they are. Together, we will explore how past experiences may be showing up in your daily life and work toward meaningful insight and change. I utilize a combination of modalities including IFS, DBT, CBT, ACT and mindfulness-based strategies to uncover these hidden layers.
For younger children, I use developmentally appropriate counselling modalities to support healing and emotional growth. Parents are involved as active participants in their child’s therapy, because I believe parents are the most important people in shaping and encouraging their child’s life. I aim to help families better understand and support one another. Parents need empathetic helpers on their team. I want to walk alongside you in exploring what specific needs your child may be trying to communicate through their behaviours and aim to form new habits.
When I’m not in the therapy chair, you’ll likely find me with my 3-year-old Golden Retriever Frannie. You can catch Fran and I outdoors, hiking, camping or soaking up nature in any way we know how!
