About Mark

Mark graduated with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Karlova Universita (Charles University) in Prague, Czech Republic in 1989. He worked in Vienna, Austria from 1989 to 1990. He obtained his Physiotherapy degree from University of British Columbia, Vancouver in 1996. He’s been practicing in Victoria ever since. Since his graduation Mark has pursued a variety of postgraduate courses in manual therapy including extensive courses in spinal manipulation through Jim Meadows at the SWODEAM INSTITUTE. In addition to his interest in manual therapy Mark has an extensive experience in post-surgical rehabilitation. Mark has a special interest in post surgical knee rehabilitation. Mark is highly qualified and experienced in physiotherapy for ACL knee reconstruction, meniscus tear, knee arthroscopy, knee replacement, knee injuries, and people with knee pain. Mark fits and supplies custom BREG and Bledsoe knee braces at our clinic. He has over 16 years of custom knee bracing experience. Mark Gottfried has been a member of the medical team for Athletics Canada for the last 10 years. He has worked multiple international championships including U20 World Championships in Nairobi, Kenya and Cali, Colombia.
