About Marie-Pier

Marie-Pier Leroux is an Indigenous, neurodivergent social worker and gerontologist with a deep passion for neurodiversity. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Gerontology, combining academic knowledge with lived experience in her work. She specializes in supporting people and communities through grief and loss, with a focus on Indigenous peoples, neurodivergent individuals, and older adults. Her approach is rooted in respect, cultural safety, and a strengths-based perspective, making sure everyone she works with feels heard, understood, and valued. Therapy and support with Marie-Pier are collaborative; she follows your lead, helping you reframe, process, and integrate your experiences in ways that fit your personality and needs. Passionate about advocacy and education, Marie-Pier creates and delivers trainings on autism and neurodiversity, helping professionals and organizations build more inclusive, compassionate practices. She brings both professional expertise and personal insight as a neurodivergent person, bridging the gap between theory and lived reality. Her priority is to provide a space where people feel safe, safe to unmask, to share what’s really on their mind, and to process grief, trauma, and life’s transitions. Quirky, authentic, and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, Marie-Pier considers it an honour to be trusted with someone’s stories and experiences.
