While our minds are busy keeping up with modern life, our bodies and their needs can get tuned out. In my practice, I have observed that the body holds tension only in accordance with the nervous systems' instruction. Therefore, in my treatments, I consider myself to be working with the nervous system first and foremost.
This looks like aiming to provide a safe and supportive treatment space, where tuning into your own body's needs becomes intuitive (and hopefully pleasant!)
With this in mind, I gravitate towards a gentler treatment style, typically using a combination of myofascial, craniosacral and relaxation massage techniques.
I like to work collaboratively with my patients to figure out what their goals are and how to best achieve them. This will vary according to need, and look different for every patient.
I look forward to meeting with you, and working together to help you feel your best :))
