About Maggie

I am so glad that you are here. My name is Maggie, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with my Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am also a mom to two pre-teens that keep me on my toes. As a family we enjoy adventures in local forests and trails with our maltipoo and camping with friends throughout the year (when activities and sports are not filling our weekends). Prior to coming into private practice, I worked in crisis counselling and case management within the community programs for youth and adults. This experience taught me the importance of meeting people where they are at with respect, presence, and care. This presence and care helped to shape the way that I build relationships, both in and out of the therapeutic space, with genuine empathy and free from judgement. Taking time to raise my two kiddos meant time away from work and offered me space to gain insights into myself which brought me back to completing my masters and returning to the work that brings me so much meaning and connection with community. My areas of interest are rooted in my own personal journey and experiences with grief, partnership, and parenting that have strengthened my appreciation for the strength and resilience that we all carry. In our shared space, I place importance in bearing witness and accompanying you through processing your experiences with therapeutic guidance and support.
