About Lyle

With more than 35 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach, I have dedicated my career to helping people move better, become stronger, and perform at their highest potential. My coaching philosophy centers on functional strength, movement quality, and systematic, sequence-based training, creating individualized programs that deliver long-term, sustainable results. From 2016 to 2026, I owned and operated LD Fitness, a boutique training studio that grew into a thriving fitness community built on trust, accountability, and lasting relationships. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of training multiple generations of families—including parents, children, and grandchildren—helping clients achieve lifelong health and athletic success. My experience includes serving as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Sarnia Sting (10 seasons) and the London Knights (1 season), where I developed sport-specific strength, speed, power, and injury-prevention programs for elite hockey players. Over the years, I have worked with athletes competing in a wide range of sports, including hockey, soccer, basketball, track and field, squash, racquetball, taekwondo, boxing, volleyball, lacrosse, gymnastics, and dance. I have also coached clients from all walks of life, including professional athletes, youth athletes, students, busy parents, seniors, healthcare professionals, and individuals simply looking to improve their health and quality of life. Whether preparing clients for athletic competition, mountain climbs, weddings, fitness challenges, or the physical demands of everyday life, I believe every program should be tailored to the individual's goals, abilities, and lifestyle. My training approach integrates a wide variety of evidence-based methods and tools, including: Functional strength training Movement assessment and corrective exercise Rehabilitation and return-to-activity programming Plyometric and explosive power development Speed, agility, and quickness training Core stability and rotational strength TRX suspension training Free-weight training BOSU and balance training My goal has always been to help clients build strength that carries over into real life—improving performance, reducing injury risk, and creating the confidence to meet whatever physical challenges lie ahead.
