BIO
Lo Yi is a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia and holds a license to
practice Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She graduated from Shanghai
University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has approximately seven years of
clinical experience. Her background includes four years in a public hospital in
Shanghai, two years in an outpatient TCM clinic, and recent clinical experience in
Greater Vancouver.
In China, her clinical work included acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. In
BC, her practice focuses on acupuncture and cupping. She has a special interest in
pain management, including pain affecting the neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees,
arms, and legs, as well as muscle tension, muscle fatigue, and overuse strain. Her
clinical experience also includes digestive concerns, headaches, facial paralysis,
menstrual pain, and supporting patients during post-stroke recovery. She has
experience with scalp and facial acupuncture and also provides cupping and sliding
cupping when appropriate.
Lo Yi takes time to listen to each patient's concerns, complete an assessment, and
create an individualized treatment plan. She explains the treatment clearly and
helps patients feel safe and comfortable throughout their visit. She speaks
Cantonese and Mandarin fluently and English at a conversational level.
