About Lisa

Lisa graduated in 2010 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. After graduating, Lisa started working in a busy outpatient orthopaedic clinic, which allowed her to focus taking levels to advance her orthopaedic skills and become certified in anatomical acupuncture and Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), also known as dry needling. In 2013, she developed a keen interest in pelvic physiotherapy after taking formal training in treating incontinence. Since then, Lisa has pursued further training and is certified to treat incontinence, pain with intercourse, tailbone pain, pelvic organ prolapse and diastasis recti abdominis (DRA). She has also become certified with Rost Therapy to treat pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy including SI joint pain, pubic symphysis pain and tailbone pain. Lisa is experienced in treating women during pregnancy and after delivery. She enjoys working with women to manage their symptoms in pregnancy, prepare for delivery and provide guidance on safe return to activity after delivery. As a mother of two, Lisa understands firsthand how valuable pelvic physiotherapy can be. For this reason, she is extremely passionate about her practice. In her spare time, she enjoys seeing friends and family as often as she can, golfing with her husband and chasing her little ones and dog around on different adventures.
