has been an acupuncturist for 9 years, receiving a three year diploma of Acupuncture from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC, the oldest Chinese medicine school in Canada. Lisa completed her fourth year of study with high honours at Pacific Rim College, from which she received her diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011.
Lisa became a certified practitioner after successfully completing the British Columbia board exams. She is now a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncture.
Prior to her studies of Chinese Medicine, Lisa obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Passionate about health, Lisa worked in the health care field as a support worker for physical and mental health. She also spent time traveling and living in Europe, and teaching in South Korea.
Lisa believes in treating each person holistically and according to their own constitution and has seen amazing results in doing so.
Lisa successfully treated cases of chronic pain, gynecological disorders including infertility, digestive disorders, and insomnia, among many other health issues. She uses a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet therapy, tui na massage, cupping therapy, gua sha and electro-stimulation to treat her patients.
Lisa is known as being personable, compassionate and thorough, always taking the time to get to know her patients and develop a treatment plan tailored to each specific case.
