I consider myself to be a HOPE provider. I help individuals and couples heal and grow from trauma and attachment wounds, grief, chronic illness, depression, and anxiety. I help professionals and front-line workers heal and grow from personal trauma, secondary trauma, burnout, compassion fatigue, and provide supervision and case consultation to social workers. I combine clinical methods with expressive arts and I am currently completing hours to become a registered expressive art therapist. I have also begun my studies in Expressive Play Therapy at the Justice Institute of BC with the intent of becoming a registered play therapist.
I have a MSW (clinical) from University of Toronto 2001, a Post-MSW Diploma in Advanced Social Work, from the University of Calgary 2011, as well as a Hons. BA in Psychology from University of Guelph 1998. I continually work to advance and add to my clinical skills to help my clients learn to help themselves. I am a Registered Social Worker in BC #10962, Please check with your insurance provider to see if counselling services by a registered social worker are covered under your plan. If you do not have extended health benefits my service can be claimed on your taxes as a medical expense. I offer lower rates for students and on a compassionate basis.
