About Lindsay
Lindsay grew up in the Durham Region in a very active family and was involved in many sports from a young age. Her strong athletic background, combined with a keen interest in the human body and how it moves, led her to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University. She became especially interested in physiotherapy after witnessing a relative undergo intensive rehab for a spinal cord injury. She realized the significant impact a physiotherapist could have on an individual’s physical function and overall wellbeing, and she aspired to help others in the same way. She went on to complete her Master’s degree of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2012.
Since then, Lindsay has worked in various orthopaedic clinics around the Durham Region and has gained extensive experience treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She has a particular passion for treating the athletic and paediatric populations (ages 3 & up). Her approach to treatment is very hands on, with a focus on restoring function and re-training proper body mechanics. She uses a wide range of techniques, including soft tissue release and joint mobilizations, personalized exercise prescription, acupuncture, and patient education. She is very passionate about helping her clients achieve their health and wellness goals.
Lindsay also values the importance of continuing education and has taken several post-graduate courses to enhance her skillset. She has advanced training in manual therapy, acupuncture, and various taping techniques.
Outside of the clinic, Lindsay enjoys staying active through running, working out at the gym, and playing tennis and soccer. She also enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
