About Laura
Laura is a graduate of Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, and has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since the fall of 2013. She is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the Massage Therapists Association of BC. Laura believes in a holistic approach to massage therapy, believing that injuries and acute pain are one part of a larger picture for most patients. She makes sure to assess and treat supporting structures, as well as the area of complaint, to best achieve resolution of an issue. She believes that the nervous system plays a primary role in the experience of pain and the process of healing, and therefore aims to create a respectful, calm, and welcoming space for all patients. Laura has experience treating a wide variety of conditions, from chronic and acute pain, whiplash, and sports injuries, to headaches, pregnancy, and postpartum conditions. She primarily employs a blend of deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, and myofascial release.
