What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Before pursuing RMT, I was a rehabilitation assistant in a physiotherapy clinic and a gymnastics coach. Working closely with clients in both rehab and sport helped me develop a deeper understanding of movement, injury recovery, and performance.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
I want to become an RMT because I love moving my body and helping others move theirs. I am passionate about supporting people in staying active, recovering from injuries, and feeling more confident and comfortable in their bodies. After multiple injuries of my own where RMT’s have been able to help I understand on a personal level the way that massage can enhance training, returning to sport, or simply wanting to move pain-free in daily life. I love being part of that process for those around me!
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
Outside of school, I love to run, ski, mountain bike, climb and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I also enjoy baking and spending quality time with friends. If I’m not studying, you’ll likely catch me planning my next big adventure whether it’s a big run, skiing some fresh powder, or rafting on a big river.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
What I love about being a VCMT student is learning so much about the human body and being able to apply everything we learn in such a practical way. It is incredibly rewarding to see how our knowledge translates directly into helping clients succeed in both daily living and in sport.
