Kristen Gibbons grew up in the Comox Valley and recently relocated back to her home town. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 with her Bachelor of Science and then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2011. During her undergrad Kristen volunteered with a program for adapted physical activity for children, youth, and adults experiencing disabilities which lead to her interest in pursuing Physical Therapy.
Kristen’s career has been in acute care with the last 7 years being at the Alberta Children’s Hospital working with kids 0-19 who have a wide variety of conditions and injuries. Kristen is passionate about early intervention, family- centred care, and making physio fun!
Kristen can be found spending time with her young family doing all things outdoors. They enjoy hiking, biking, running, and skiing to name a few activities.
