Hi, I’m Kristen. I’m a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. I’m really passionate about supporting youth and families through life’s ups and downs.
Growing up isn’t always easy—things like anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, or family stress can feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out—I’m here to listen, support you, and help you build tools to feel more confident and in control.
I have clinical experience supporting youth who are navigating concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, and addictions. I understand the importance of providing affirming, trauma-informed care for youth from diverse cultural and LGBTQ2S+ communities.
In my practice, I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Together, we can work on building resilience, improving communication, and healing from difficult experiences.
When I am not working, I enjoy my time at the rink watching my 2 boys play hockey. I am an avid Oilers fan and I am always on the lookout for new kicks, it may be a bit of an obsession… I also believe it is important to continue to learn about things and try new experiences, especially when it comes to cooking. I am currently learning everything I need to know about making sourdough and my family is enjoying the results!
