About Kirsten
Kirsten received her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to beginning physiotherapy, she attended McMaster University and completed her Bachelor of Science Kinesiology. From a young age Kirsten has had a strong interest in learning about the physiology of the human body and the science behind movement. She is passionate about sports science and rehabilitation and is hoping to further her education through post graduate courses in manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and acupuncture training.
Kirsten believes that physiotherapy should be an individualized program of care depending on the unique situation of the client. She is invested in actively listening to a patients’ concerns and tailoring a physiotherapy approach to best meet their needs. Kirsten aims to provide evidence-based patient care and is committed to continuing learning about the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy. She works with clients one on one to improve their symptoms, functioning and quality of life. She enjoys working with patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and concerns.
In her spare time she likes to play volleyball and soccer with friends, draw, or read a good book. She is a sports fan and likes to follow hockey, football, tennis, basketball and soccer as well as attend a game every so often. Kirsten is excited to be a part of the team at Palermo Plus Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre.
