Kimberly Tome is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Kimberly also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Family and Community Social Services from the University of Guelph-Humber.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Kimberly has supported individuals across the lifespan—from infants and children to youth and adults—in a variety of clinical and community-based settings. Her professional background includes specialized work in infant mental health at the Hospital for Sick Children, as well as extensive experience supporting individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attachment trauma, personality disorders, and complex emotional and behavioral needs.
Kimberly’s therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered and integrates evidence-based modalities including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance-based strategies. She is especially passionate about helping clients navigate emotional regulation, self-esteem, anxiety, life transitions, and relational challenges. Kimberly has a strong foundation in supporting family dynamics and is currently pursuing certification in couples therapy through The Gottman Institute.
Drawing on a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens, Kimberly aims to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment where clients can safely explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
She works confidently with individuals, couples, and families, and is committed to tailoring her therapeutic approach to the unique needs and goals of each client.
Kimberly is available for both in-person and virtual sessions through our Oakville and Mississauga office.
