About Katrina
Katrina Cox is a registered acupuncturist living in Sooke - T'Sou-ke territory - on Vancouver island. Her interest in holistic healing began with a desire for natural remedies and alternative solutions for complex family health problems. She first began with a passion for herbal medicines, eventually beginning her studies at Pacific Rim College with the Community Herbalist program.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine came into her life during a yoga teacher training where one of the teachers brought in a lot of elements of Qi Gong, and where she also received her first acupuncture treatment. The effects left a lasting impression, and piqued her curiosity in these ancient traditions. The passion for this medicine began to grow and she enrolled in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine studies the following year.
When she's not in clinic, you can find her at home cooking delicious food, foraging for edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms or diving into a creative project. In her free time she loves to spend time in nature or with friends and loved ones.
