I believe that visibility is vulnerability, and in the quest to support the mental health of the individuals and families I will be supporting, my authentic professional self is a strength I will bring to the therapeutic space. The brave choice to enter therapy is commendable and this willingness to engage in finding a way forward can open the first door to a way forward. We often get stuck in negative thought cycles, so I believe that empowering people by guiding them to identify their strengths and areas of need in a compassionate and healthy way is the first step to becoming unstuck.
