About Kathy

Often we wait until we are completely stuck before we ask for help. All of us tend to want to manage on our own, until what we were doing no longer works. I work from an attachment lens that understands our human need for connection and secure relationships with others and self to be central to our ability to thrive and flourish. I meet each person where they are at with an unconditional positive regard. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship I welcome the opportunity to journey with you through discovery and healing. Experience: Kathy is a Registered Psychotherapist and a University of Toronto graduate with a Master’s degree in Divinity. She has completed her advanced training in Clinical Pastoral Education, and works as a Spiritual Care Practitioner in the HealthCare System. She is currently working on the addictions medical unit, acute inpatient psychiatry and the children’s mental health unit. Over the past five years, she has worked in private practice, specializing in supporting individuals, families and couples dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma and interpersonal or relationship challenges. She is also an advanced grief recovery specialist and works on-call at the Hospice and leads grief support groups in the community. Compassion is not a practice of ‘better than’ or ‘I can fix you’—it’s a practice based in the beauty and pain of shared humanity.” Brene Brown
