About Katey

Meet Katey! Katey is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Central Florida and went on to earn her Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Western University. She is passionate about supporting children of all ages and abilities through play-based therapy, with a focus on articulation, motor speech, language, and AAC. Katey is committed to ongoing learning and regularly seeks out new knowledge to develop individualized, effective strategies for the children she works with. She has completed workshops in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), Digging Deeper: An Evidence-Based Motor Speech Treatment Protocol, and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA). She has also completed advanced independent coursework focused on parent training and strategies for late talkers. Outside of work, Katey enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with her family dogs.
