Kasha Mitton, RN, BSN, MACP Clinical Counsellor | Adults, Couples & Families, Youth | Kasha is a dedicated RN, clinical counsellor, mother, wife, and advocate who brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare and leadership. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, her work is deeply shaped by her background as a bedside registered nurse, clinical educator, and director of care across various sectors of healthcare. At the heart of Kasha’s practice is a person-centered approach—a steadfast commitment to ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and valued as they navigate life’s challenges. She blends science and art in her work, integrating her understanding of brain, behaviour, trauma-informed and relational systems with creative, holistic practices to support healing and growth. Kasha’s therapeutic lens is grounded in the biopsychosocial model, emphasizing emotional safety, relational connection, and collaborative care. Her approach draws from multiple evidence-based modalities, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), existentialism, and somatic practices. Her extensive work in developing trauma-informed training and working in palliative care has shaped her ability to walk alongside individuals and families facing grief, loss, and existential concerns. Kasha also integrates mind-body tools through her training as a certified health coach, yoga, meditation, and fitness instructor, offering clients opportunities to enhance both mental well-being and physical literacy when appropriate. Beyond her counselling practice, Kasha is the co-founder of the MASH Movement—a platform dedicated to raising awareness and support for those impacted by rare disease. MASH stands for Movement, Awareness, Service, and Health, reflecting her commitment to advocacy and community care. Guided by compassion, clinical depth, and a belief in the resilience of the human spirit, Kasha works to help clients access meaning, connection, and possibility in even the most challenging moments.
