Do you need a safe space to share thoughts and feelings that seem overwhelming? Let’s work through those thoughts and emotions together. My name is Karen and I’m a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW) with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from King’s University College and my Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor. I offer individual and couples counselling for clients of all ages—whether you’re teens exploring identity, couples navigating transitions, or adults looking for deeper understanding, I’m here for you.
Seeking support takes courage, and my goal is to create a warm, safe, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself. My approach is strength-based, honoring your resilience as a foundation for growth. I integrate several therapeutic modalities—Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy— all grounded within anti-oppressive, anti-racist, trauma-informed values. These approaches help us work together to explore your story, clarify your values, and build a life you want to live.
I support individuals and couples through a variety of life challenges, including mood disorders (such as anxiety or depression), addiction/substance use, relationship issue/ intimacy, sex, sexuality, exploring identity, trauma, abuse, and women’s unique experiences.
Whether you’re seeking clarity in the middle of a crisis or simply a compassionate space to reflect and grow, I’m here to walk alongside you with openness and care.
