About Kara
Welcome! I’m Kara, a counselling practicum student. I understand how vulnerable it can be to seek counselling services, so I am glad you are here. I work with adults and adolescents (13-17). I like to draw on an integrative approach as I believe that each experience is unique and requires a blending of techniques.
I tend to gravitate towards cognitive behavioural, attachment-based and developmental approaches as I believe that our experiences help shape how we view & behave in the world and how we make sense of who we are. My goal is to create an environment that allows you to feel accepted as you are, without judgement, full of warmth, compassion, and equality, while helping you explore different challenges at a pace that is comfortable for you.
