About Julie

Julie is a compassionate, attentive and energetic orthopedic physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s health and Pelvic Floor rehabilitation. She is passionate about empowering patients by giving them the tools they need to understand their injuries as well as what to do to return to their desired state and help prevent further injuries. Over the years, Julie has developed experience in both private clinics and with the military population, treating a variety of different musculoskeletal conditions, whether they be acute and/or chronic, insidious, traumatic, postural and repetitive strain or pot-operative in nature. After having a daughter of her own, Julie developed a passion in helping other women overcome challenges and helping mothers across their pre and post-partum journey. Fostering a calm and safe environment by listening and encouraging consistent communication, Julie looks at the whole person and tries to understand the different aspects in someone’s life / body that can be contributing to their symptoms. Julie has completed her Honours BSc with specialization in Human Kinetics in 2015 and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2017 both from the University of Ottawa. She has completed multiple professional development courses and certifications throughout the years such as : the McKenzie Method (Part A/B/C), Advanced manual therapy courses (Level 2’s), pelvic floor courses through Pelvic Health Solutions (Level 1 and 2, pregnancy related, caesarean related), Mulligan concept for the lower extremity and has taken / attended different pain courses. She is fluent in French and English.
