About Johanna

Johanna has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and a post graduate diploma in Pedorthics from the University of Western Ontario. She has had a lifelong interest in the biomechanics of the human body, so the study of Pedorthics was a natural fit. Johanna has been active her whole life with a great many years spent rowing with UBC’s varsity team then moving on to trail running, mountain biking and hiking. Pedorthics concentrates on the study and evaluation of human locomotion, including the foot and lower limb anatomy; pathology, and biomechanics. Johanna is pleased to offer the active Sea-to-Sky community Pedorthic services. These services include gait analysis; footwear fitting and custom foot orthotics. She can recommend appropriate shoe construction and modifications as needed. What is a Pedorthist???! Pedorthist - a lower limb specialist trained in the assessment of lower limb anatomy and biomechanics. A C.Ped. (C) specializes in treatment and conditions of the foot, ankle and lower extremities as well as the fabrication of custom orthotics, shoe fitting and modifications.
