Jodi completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration with a joint major in Communication at Simon Fraser University and went on to work in the financial industry for several years. Through a commitment to lifelong learning, a belief in holistic wellness, and an awareness of the importance of understanding our relationships with ourselves and others, she turned her focus to deepening that knowledge and has volunteered with citizens in residential care as well as providing advocacy for persons with issues related to socioeconomic challenges.
She is a registered clinical counsellor with BCACC and a designated FNHA Mental Health provider. She has studied Indigenous Cultural Safety (Sany’as) as well as has certificates in DBT Skills for adults, for adolescents and ACT, as well as Trauma-Informed ACT. She values education and awareness as a means for prevention and healing. Her compassion and empathy will lend itself to creating an open, non-judgmental, therapeutic space for clients to safely explore their relationships with themselves and others. She believes in the importance of mindfulness and self-compassion in our daily lives, that we each know ourselves best and what is most important to us, and that her responsibility is to help you clarify those values and how you want to live them.
Jodi is super excited to be working with ProMentality; learning and evolving as a part of this team!
