Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) MACP, BAScBed in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Psychology Ontario Certified Teacher Behaviour Instructor Therapist Jess provides a warm and inclusive environment to support her clients to use the tools inside themselves to live their most authentic and peaceful life. Jess holds degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies, Education, and completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Her experience as an Elementary School Teacher, Behaviour Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and parent enable her to provide diversely tailored support. Jess practices integratively, utilizing evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Jess’ additional training in Gottman method and trauma power methods allow her to offer the most up to date evidence based techniques to couples and families. Jess works with individuals, couples, children, and families through navigating relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, addiction, infertility, adoption, medical complexity, and disability. Jess looks forward to offering group therapy focusing on skill development and healing for parents, couples, children, and bereavement. Jess prides herself in being a community advocate for people with disabilities, rare diseases, people who have experienced loss, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community through her work with the City of Barrie and Hospice Simcoe. Jess looks forward to honouring and exploring client's unique experiences, strengths, and stories.
