About Jennifer

Jennifer Goguen is an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist with more than 23 years of experience supporting children, families, adults, and older adults across pediatric, community, private practice, and long-term care settings. Her approach is grounded in client- and family-centred care, with a strong focus on helping individuals build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to participate meaningfully in everyday life. Jennifer has extensive experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with particular expertise in sensory processing, sensory integration, motor planning, fine and gross motor development, functional skill development, and early intervention. She works collaboratively with children, adolescents, families, schools, and interdisciplinary teams to identify barriers to participation and develop practical strategies that can be incorporated into everyday routines at home, school, and in the community. Her clinical experience also includes Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) assessment, ADHD coaching and support, functional and cognitive assessments, equipment assessments, school-based intervention, long-term care occupational therapy and adult mental health. Jennifer is committed to advocacy and to helping clients and families understand individual strengths and challenges while developing realistic and meaningful goals. Supporting Women Through Menopause An important and growing area of Jennifer's practice is her dedication to supporting women through perimenopause, menopause, and the transitions that accompany this stage of life. As a Certified Menopause Coach, Jennifer combines her occupational therapy background with menopause-focused coaching to help women understand how changes during this stage can influence their ability to manage everyday life. Jennifer recognizes that menopause can affect much more than physical health. Changes in energy, sleep, concentration, emotional well-being, stress tolerance, confidence, routines, relationships, and work performance can have a significant impact on how women experience and participate in their daily lives. Her approach focuses on the whole person and the occupations that matter to them. She is passionate about providing women with a supportive space to better understand their experiences, identify the areas of life that have become more challenging, and develop practical strategies to support their individual goals. Through education, coaching, occupational therapy strategies, and lifestyle and routine-based supports within her scope of practice, Jennifer aims to help women navigate this transition with greater knowledge, confidence, self-advocacy, and a renewed sense of control over their daily lives. She is particularly passionate about helping women remain engaged in their careers, family roles, relationships, health routines, and meaningful activities during this often under-recognized life transition. In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer has experience in private practice management, workshop development and facilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and early intervention programming. She values working alongside clients, families, educators, healthcare professionals, and community partners to provide coordinated and practical supports. Throughout her career, Jennifer has remained passionate about helping people achieve greater independence, participation, and quality of life. She brings a collaborative, strengths-based perspective to her work and believes that effective occupational therapy should translate into meaningful improvements in the activities, roles, and relationships that matter most to each individual.
