Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She then went on to graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1996. For the past 29 years she has worked in a variety of clinical, chiropractic and spa settings. She has recently joined the Cedar Massage team from where she had been working at Harbourview Therapeutic Massage in Comox for the past 23 years. As the Comox Valley has a large military base, Jennifer has taken a keen interest in working with veterans, both with massage related to rehabilitation for muscular injury, and for massage for those suffering from PTSD. She also enjoys working with pre and post natal clients, athletes and clients with chronic overuse syndromes. Jennifer believes that massage therapy is an integral part of optimizing one's own well being for physical and emotional health. She specializes in deep tissue techniques; Trigger point release, postural assessment and therapeutic relaxation. "If everyone could enjoy the benefits of regular massage, I think the world would be a better place." Jennifer also has a passion for outreach work and for the past 20 years was the Volunteer Coordinator of Performer Massage at the Vancouver Island Music Festival.
