About Jenna

Hi, I’m Jenna Gade. I’m a clinical student intern at Counselling Bruce County while I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and I’m thrilled to support our local community. Having grown up here, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of accessible mental health support. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked with organizations like the Women’s House of Grey-Bruce and Community Living, helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and overcome barriers. Who do I work with & what can I help with? I work with children ages 10+, teens and adults of all genders. I also strive to create a welcoming space for 2S-LGBTQ+ individuals or anyone who feels a little different. If you’re experiencing stress, overwhelm, or frustration, you don’t have to face it alone. I support clients in exploring themes such as gender identity, sexuality, relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, coping skills, and societal pressures. I am also specifically trained in supporting pregnancy journeys including loss. I can also assist with depression, anxiety and other common mental health concerns. My Therapeutic Approach I use evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoeducation to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will reconnect with your sense of self, clarify your boundaries, and explore your personal desires. I bring a warm, curious, and grounded presence in our sessions, focusing on building a meaningful therapeutic relationship. I work from an anti-oppressive, culturally competent, and trauma-informed perspective. Training I hold a double major in Psychology and Sexuality Studies from Western University, which deepened my understanding of how psychology, sexuality, power, and culture intersect. I also received formal training at Fanshawe College to support pregnant individuals and their families through all stages of the reproductive journey, including pregnancy loss. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and working toward my Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) designation with the CRPO. What else should you know? I offer sessions on Monday and Tuesday afternoons and evenings. If you’re unsure about starting therapy, that’s completely okay—we can take it at your pace. I look forward to connecting with you.
