About Jen

Jen is a Registered Psychotherapist and has her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Through a collaborative and trauma-informed approach, Jen focuses on creating a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and make meaningful changes. Jen has a special interest in supporting clients through the transformative (and sometimes overwhelming) experience of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. She is pursuing training in Perinatal Mental Health, and some of the issues she works with are mood difficulties such as anxiety or depression, relational challenges, identity strain, perfectionism, and overwhelming caregiving demands. In a world full of constant opinions and expectations, Jen’s approach is centered on building a space where you feel confident in your own intuition as a parent. In Jen’s practice she incorporates attachment theory, narrative therapy, somatic work, internal family systems therapy, and self-compassion work. Jen is also passionate about working with women experiencing the emotional and psychological impacts of Alopecia, as someone who has navigated the condition for over 20 years. Jen’s proudest role is being a Mom to her busy toddler, and she believes that empowering parents to care for themselves is the key to helping them support their children. Whether you are adjusting to life as a new parent or navigating the ups and downs of daily life, Jen’s goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected and capable.
