About Jayson

Physiotherapist, IMS Practitioner (Functional Dry Needling) Jayson completed his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with distinction from Simon Fraser University, he then chose to further his education by earning a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Jayson’s treatment philosophy focuses on empowering individuals by improving their movement patterns and functional abilities utilizing a multi-modal treatment approach heavily based on manual therapy and corrective exercise prescription. He has experience working with individuals of all ages in a variety of clinical settings including: orthopaedics, post-surgical acute, neurological rehabilitation, hand therapy, geriatrics and sports medicine. Prior to pursuing his master’s degree, Jayson worked as a kinesiologist, which allowed him to gain invaluable experience creating specialized exercise programs for individuals with a wide variety of conditions. Jayson has a special interest in sports-related injuries and has previously worked with the Simon Fraser University Rugby Club as an athletic therapist. Jayson is a continuous learner and is committed to utilizing only the most up to date research and clinical evidence in his practice. Jayson is currently certified in functional dry needling/intramuscular stimulation (IMS) by Kinetacore - Evidence in Motion Outside of the clinic, Jayson enjoys playing soccer and golf, while also giving back to the local community by volunteering at local sporting events as well as charities such as Vancouver based, The Vanisha Foundation, a grassroots non-profit organization supporting the provision of medical services, equipment and treatment for children where medical funding may be limited or unavailable.
