Counselling is a personal process that is based on a relationship of trust and I greatly value the individuality of each client. Working with persons from all walks of life, I have had experience counselling diverse populations of various ages, cultural backgrounds, beliefs and gender identifications while holding a safe space for the story that you share. I believe that healing develops from within and that everyone has the ability to access strengths and internal resources that may have become obscured by life’s adversities. EXPERIENCE I am a Senior Psychotherapist with FreeMind Therapy, a Registered Social Worker, and a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Calgary. My career in both BC and Alberta has allowed me to expand my clinical training with both youth, adults, couples and family counselling. This also includes extensive knowledge of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and much more. I have over ten years of experience in counselling, working in various health care settings, educational institutions, and private practice.
