About Jaskiran

Jaskiran is a caring and compassionate Physiotherapist who started her career with a Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University (2005-2009). She then pursued her interest in health care further with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Western Ontario (2009-2011). She continued her education further, by passing the Level 1 Manual Therapy Exam for the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Therapy and has pursued and completed further manual therapy courses and exams in this program, including the Level 2 for Upper and Lower Quadrant. In addition, Jaskiran has taken the "Mulligan Concept for the Upper Quadrant" course for the Mobilization with Movement (MWM) Manual therapy techniques for the neck and upper extremities. Jaskiran has completed the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada's AA1 Course: Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture and AA2: Clinical Applications in Anatomical Acupuncture in 2013. She uses Acupuncture to help naturally reduce pain and improve function. Jaskiran also has an interest in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. She has completed all four courses involved in this program, which includes: Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy of the Lumbar Spine, Cervical Spine, Advanced Lumbar Spine & Upper Extremities, and Advanced Cervical & Thoracic Spine & Lower Extremities. She successfully completed the Credentialing Exam, and is Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (McKenzie Method). Jaskiran started working at Athlete's Care Brampton in 2012, and has been here since. She enjoys the atmosphere and working with the entire health care team. She uses a combination of exercises and manual therapy to help her patients achieve their goals. In her spare time, she spends time with her family and likes going for walks in nature.
