About Janelle

Janelle Cohos (Vanderwerff), MA, RCC is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a proud Mom of two. Janelle is passionate about providing trauma-informed, perinatal (pregnancy/postpartum) counselling. She has over a decade of experience providing compassionate counselling services to help individuals and couples cope with challenges related to anxiety, depression, perinatal mood disorders, trauma, parenting, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Recently, Janelle’s family made an exciting decision to move back “home” to Delta, BC, from Calgary, AB; Janelle continues to maintain her designation as a Registered Psychologist in Alberta (College of Alberta Psychologists - Alberta only) to continue supporting Alberta-based clients virtually. At InForm, Janelle currently offers in-person and virtual counselling to clients across BC, as well as group therapy and workshops for Moms. Janelle’s own journey through pregnancy and parenthood, along with her specialized training in perinatal/maternal mental health, helped shape her interest in supporting parents during this major life transition. Janelle primarily works with Moms, Dads, birthing people, and parents-to-be, helping them on their journeys through the peaks and valleys of parenthood. Janelle is an EMDR trained therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), holding an EMDRIA-approved basic training certificate from the Envision Academy at Envision Workshops. In therapy, I use an integrative approach, drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and self compassion, guided by your unique needs.
