Jamie is based in our climbing specific Waterloo clinic at 9 Degrees Waterloo.
She has been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in private practice since 2016, previously specialising in the niche field of badminton-specific sporting injuries, with most of it being shoulder, elbow, wrist, lower back, knee and ankle injuries.
A few years ago, Jamie fell in love with the sport of climbing and has since applied her interest of movement analysis and the science of physiotherapy into climbing specific injuries.
Jamie’s approach to treatment is to identify and correct inefficient movement patterns by restoring joint movement, improving muscular control, and building strength.
She believes that every active person is an athlete of their own, and the key to maintain that is to know their body and work with it, not against it.
